Inta and Travis are engaged!
by Stan on Aug.26, 2010, under engagement
This past weekend we had the opportunity to photograph Travis and Inta’s engagement session. We started out on the Shelby Street walk bridge and ended the afternoon up at the War Memorial building. You will notice some shots with a grocery cart and I will have to let Inta tell you about these shots but lets just say it has something to do with Travis and daily visits to grocery stores. It was so much fun for me and Ashley (my daughter) to spend some time with Inta and Travis, they were great to shoot and I must give them BIG shout-outs… because it was a very hot day and they didn’t complain…not one time. Enjoy the images and please leave comments!

Jeff and Greta
by Stan on Jun.17, 2010, under Uncategorized, engagement
Jeff and Greta are getting married in a cool indoors wedding ceremony latter this summer, but last Monday evening they were such good sports as we took to the hot outdoors for their engagement session. Let me say it again, they were so great to work with in sweltering temperatures!
We had several locations to travel to (as you can see from the images) but the one that was so much fun and had sentimental meaning was the Nashville Sounds baseball game (you see rumor has it that Greta ask Jeff out on their first date and they went to a Sounds game). While shooting at the ballpark Greta even got a foul ball which I used in a ring shot, what a women (OK she did get it from the bullpen players but it was a foul ball that they had caught).
We ended up in downtown Nashville cooling off by some fountains and getting sprayed with water by some kids actually playing IN the fountains. Great night with a great couple. Check out the images and let us know what you think, leave a comment!

After a few minutes of shooting they needed to cool them off

When I turned arround to change a lens, I heard them laughing, I looked over my shoulder and they were singing and dancing, what a photo opp!

Sounds lost but it was $1 dog night!

Jenni & Andrew…a tire swing, bikes, cokes, a creek, sunshine and a ring!
by Stan on Apr.04, 2010, under engagement
Had a great day with Jenni and Andrew, the weather was awesome and these two were so much fun! Jenni and Andrew spent the day doing things they like as we tagged along shooting their engagement session. There were creeks and a swing…cokes, lemonade, and melting ice cream! Here are a few (more then a few) images from the day. Thanks Jenni and Andrew for letting Julie and me be a part of your engagement.

Told you there were more then a few…but they were a blast to shoot! Leave a comment, what do you think?
Wedding Packages for 2010
by Stan on Feb.08, 2010, under bridals, engagement, weddings
I have finally finished our Wedding Packages for 2010. When I started this process I set out to simplify the packages, structure them so that couples could choose a package and options that fit their budget yet still enable them to have wonderful photographic memories of their engagement and wedding.
You will notice that two of our three packages include either an enagagement or bridal session or both; the reason for that is simple, we want to get to know the couple before their wedding day. Engagement and Bridals allow us time before the wedding to work with the bride and groom in a relaxed atmosphere, with out interruptions and the time constraits that are a part of every Wedding Day. To review our galleries and see the package information go to www.sdphotographs.com.

Brittney & Mathew to be married on ??/??/??
by Stan on Nov.23, 2009, under engagement, portrait
Brittney and Mathew came to Julie and me and ask us to photograph their wedding however, everyone but Brittney new the wedding date. I mean the venue, the florist, the gown designer, the groom and us, but not the bride! Mathew had a plan and didn’t want to tell her until, well I am not sure when. The main thing is they are getting married at the Hermitage Golf Course and we are the photographers. We recently shot their engagement portraits and here are a few. By the way I think she now knows the date but I am not taking any chances, so tune in latter and when I am sure she knows I will give you the date.

Alyssa and Brandon are engaged
by Stan on Oct.29, 2009, under engagement, portrait
We took Brandon and Alyssa to the courthouse but not to get married, to shoot their engagement images. Julie and I have known Alyssa for several years and consider her almost one of our own kids, so when she ask if we would shoot her and Brandon’s wedding, we were overjoyed. Below are a few of this good looking couple’s images. As always, your comments are welcome.

Chase & Lindsey are engaged
by Stan on Jul.06, 2009, under engagement
Lindsey is my daughter and Chase is my son-in-law to be, and she ask her dad to shoot their engagement photographs. My mind was up and down, I was kinda worried, I shoot engagement photos all the time but would I be able to focus enough to settle my emotions. They chose downtown Nashville and Moss Wright Park in Goodlettsville TN for the shoot. What do you think?
