Seniors
Shooting Andy
by Stan on Apr.13, 2010, under Seniors
Andy was not quit into the senior portrait thing but that’s normal, a lot of people don’t like to have their portrait done. However, since it was a warm, sunny and windy (very windy) spring day, both Andy and we loved the weather, so we set out to make his experience fun and enjoyable. We choose some locations that reflected his personality, which is intelligent but fun loving and casual.
As we shot at locations in Nashville, Andy warned me (and his mother Kathy) that he like the places we were shooting and was enjoying himself, but he wasn’t going to smile. Sorry Andy, I gotcha smiling buddy and you look great! Below are a few images and as always your comments are welcome and actually help!
Shout Outs to: My daughter Ashley for being a great assistant!

Haley 2010
by Stan on Apr.09, 2010, under Seniors, portrait
It was unusually hot for the 6th of April, the day that we shot Haley, but the humidity wasn’t high and it was breezy which made for a great day. Haley is a Senior in High School, but she is much more then that…she is an active member of our church, both with the youth and our Praise and Worship teams. Listening to her sing and play the guitar is such a blessing and when you talk with her it doesn’t take long to see that she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
We choose a couple of locations for her shoot, one was an alley the other an old factory. Below are some images from the afternoon, tell me what you think by leaving a comment or you can email me at stan@sdphotographs.com.
Shout Outs to: Jamie (Haley’s mom) for being so patient, Brooke for Haley’s hair, Kaylee (Haley’s friend) for helping to make Haley laugh, Haley for putting up with me and the long session and my daughter Ashley for assisting her dad.

We had a great time with Haley!
by Stan on Oct.23, 2009, under Seniors, portrait
Julie and I had a great time shooting Haley’s portrait last weekend. We decided to shoot at various locations in downtown Nashville. We had to reschedule several times, waiting to get a sunny day and we finally hit it right. Haley is a senior at Beech High School, and a very talented musician so we incorporate her guitar in some of the shots. We had a lot of fun as crowds of people stopped and watched. Let us know what you think of her images.

Senior and future pilot Josh Flint
by Stan on Oct.12, 2009, under Seniors, portrait
Josh is a senior at Beech HS in Hendersonville and during his portrait consultation he told me that after he graduates from Beech he is going to MTSU and become a pilot. He told me he likes fast cars and airplanes…and since I do not have a Ferrari we decided to shoot his senior images at Sumner County Regional Airport. Thanks to all the friendly staff at the airport that allowed us to shoot just about anywhere, with in reason. Here are a few of Josh’s images please leave a comment, good and bad, believe me they help.

Jessica, 2010 Senior Shoot!
by Stan on Aug.27, 2009, under Seniors, portrait
I had the opportunity to shoot Jessica’s senior photographs this past weekend and below are a few of her images. Photographing seniors is always fun, they have so much energy and Jessica was no exception. Saturday morning her and her mother met Julie and me at our home, we discussed the final details of our plans for the shoot, she downed a couple of pancakes (that Julie made, not me) and we were off. Jessica is on the dance team at Gallatin High School, she is a confident beautiful young lady and loves to practice her dancing skills, which she did in between locations and lighting set-ups, gotta love youthful energy!
