so far this spring this was the first full week of no rain and great tempts which made for a busy time. One of my shoots was a Senior Portrait session with Katie. We choose the Town Square of Springfield to get a little of the old town casual feel. I shot natural light, ambient plus a reflector and for some images I used a profoto 500 with a beauty dish and sock (care to guess how I lit each image?). As Always I used a Nikond5 and the lens were Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 and a Nikkor 85mm f1.8.

The sunny skies made Katies blonde hair pop and her natural beauty shine. We had a great time cruising the square and I think that comes out in her photographs.

Another Creek Senior Portrait session with... Merideth

Red Hair, blue eyes and not afraid to get wet. This SCHS Cheerleader had an awesome shoot in a creek this week. The plan was to get wet at the end of the shoot but as you will see in the outage photos there was a slip and a split second from taking a spill. However, she recovered and all was good. Below are some examples from the Senior Portrait shoot and further on are some outtakes!

Cooling down in a Cottentown Creek / Jessica / Senior Portraits...Hendersonville TN

This week the weather has been great for summertime Senior Portraits so Jessica, from Beech HS, and my team took advantage of the sun, blue skies and cool water for an awesome shoot. This old man had so much fun wading in the creek and I think Jess did too! 2018 K-Love Fan Awards @ The Grand Ole Opry

This past Sunday I was fortunate enough to photograph the 2018 K-Love Fan Wards at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville TN. Many many Christian artist performed including Casting Crowns, Toby Mack, Mercy Me, Jordan Felic, Natalie Grant, Matt Maher and many others. The evening was hosted by Mandisa and Mathew West. Senior Portraits, Hendersonville TN (via Springfield TN)

The weather in Middle Tennessee this week was the best we have seen so far this spring and I took full advantage with a lot of outdoor photography sessions. Here is one of the shoots with High School Senior Katie from her senior portrait session. Katie wanted a relaxed urban feel to her images so we chose to head the the Town Square of Springfield TN. The great weather allowed me to use natural light and a reflector for most shots but we also used a Profoto 500 with a beauty dish and sock (see if you can tell which images are natural light and which are not). As always the camera was a Nikon 5 and I used two lens, Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 and an 85mm Nikkor f1.8.  It was a great afternoon for photographing a gorgeous young lady.
