Blog | Stan Dunlap Photography, Hendersonville Tennessee

so far this spring this was the first full week of no rain and great tempts which made for a busy time. One of my shoots was a Senior Portrait session with Katie. We choose the Town Square of Springfield to get a little of the old town casual feel. I shot natural light, ambient plus a reflector and for some images I used a profoto 500 with a beauty dish and sock (care to guess how I lit each image?). As Always I used a Nikond5 and the lens were Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 and a Nikkor 85mm f1.8.

The sunny skies made Katies blonde hair pop and her natural beauty shine. We had a great time cruising the square and I think that comes out in her photographs.

Sports Over Time / Hendersonville TN

Catching up on some great spring sport shots. Starting off with JD Moffit. We had an evening shoot at the soccer field. It was a beautiful sunset and JD had fun showing off some of these sick skills.

Had an awesome shoot with Max Galpin. Max came into the studio and we had fun messing around with some hockey shots.

Had to get one more photoshoot with Jana Claire in these uniforms. It’s her senior year and she also had her second ACL surgery a few days after this day. Been a tough year for this girl and we hate to see it end this way. However, it’s not completely over for her. She will continue playing ball in college.

Fun day out on the golf course with rep Lily Bloodworth. It was a beautiful, clear day outside. And no… the golf ball did not hit my camera.

Almost got rained out on this shoot with rep Abigail Batson. We came to JP2 to get some action shots of Abigail with her lacrosse stick. Started off pouring rain but we snapped a couple great pictures before it started raining again.

Last but certainly not least we came out to the football field to get some shots of Cory Edwards. Always love getting some football action shots. This is probably the last shoot on the field before they put the turf in. Can’t wait. Check these out.

Abigail's Shoot at a Southern Mansion / Hendersonville TN / Senior Portraits

Last week we went to Rosemont, a southern mansion over 100 years old, to do a shoot with a southern girl, Abigail! The sun and her golden hair was making my job easy except for some gust of wind (see outtakes). the weather was perfect for photography and snow cones (see outtakes again). The location allowed for Abigail’s beauty to shine. Look at a few shots from our shoot below and have fun looking at the outtakes of her and my crew. Also. keep checking back for Abigail Part II which we will shoot soon featuring her and her sport Lacross!

Some out takes!!!

Senior Portraits / JanaClair / Hendersonville / Beauty or Beast?

Why on earth would I ask a question like that about a Senior girl…Beauty or Beast…am I nuts? Well if you know this young lady you know the answer, she is both! When it comes to being a girl she is a beautiful lady when it comes to sports she is one of the most competitive confident athletes I have seen, male or female. She plays basketball and soccer but I don’t care if it is a game of Old Maid she is gonna win. We had a great shoot scroll down to she some of the images (and some outtakes on this one)

Outtakes, with Jana Clair, My grandson gripping and me with my favorite beverage.

Senior Portraits / Hendersonville / Asher

Great shoot yesterday evening with Senior Asher. The weather was perfect for some great sky shots of this fisherman and footballer. We also had a great time with Lucy, the Lab but like all Labs we had a difficult time keeping her out of the water. Enjoy some images from our Senior Portrait shoot.

Lake shoot / Old Hickory / Hendersonville / Senior Portraits / Lily

This week I had Lilly scheduled for some Senior Portraits and the only day there was rain in the forecast was our shoot day. I watched the radar all day, went back and forth, reschedule, shoot, reschedule, shoot….it looked like we might get wet, might not. We took a chance and got lucky. What a shoot, what a girl! I ask her “Even though it didn’t rain ya wanta get wet”? Look at the images and tell me what she said?
